While working at NASA, Mrs. Lewis noticed that the educational programs offered by NASA were primarily for students with high GPAs.  She believed that students specifically not having high GPAs needed an opportunity to receive assistance in science, mathematics and technology.  Subsequently, she formed  Steps-2-Success, Inc. in Yorktown, Virginia, where she and her staff work with middle school and high school students in developing leadership skills and provide academic assistance in science, mathematics and technology.  Initial planning is on-going to establish a Steps-2-Success, Inc. presence in Huntsville, Alabama to support northern Alabama, the Tennessee Valley area.
